"We are shaped by our thoughts; we become what we think. When the mind is pure, joy follows like a shadow that never leaves." - Buddha

With formal background as a Psychiatric Registered Nurse, Alanna Collins uses her formal education in conjunction with indigenous medicines and shamanic practices to create unique holistic treatment plans for each individual. She has been studying with teachers and masters in the Amazon of Brazil and the Andres of Peru learning from various traditions and lineages. She incorporates these healing modalities into her work with individual clients, groups, and on retreats.  Each year she brings groups to the Amazon of Brazil to experience the medicines in their native land.

Many clients seek Alanna’s alternative approach on their search for decreasing consumption of pharmaceutical medications. There are specific indigenous medicines that target a large range of western ailments from mental health issues to chronic pain.  Some of the “dis-eases” treated by these medicines include depression, anxiety, insomnia, fibromyalgia, lyme’s, rheumatoid arthritis, tendonitis, IBS, Crohn’s, ovarian cysts, menstrual regulation, cancer, HIV/AIDS, addiction, and fertility.

Alanna has a passion for inspiring and gathering strong women and creating spiritual communities. She is involved with the women’s empowerment movement and brings diverse groups of women together healing ceremonies and wellness retreats.  Alanna created Journeys of Transformation LLC to begin building a network of providers who are deeply committed to healing on the full spectrum of mind, body, and spirit. By utilizing some of the most ancient knowledge in conjunction with western education, Journeys of Transformation is truly on the edge of the “transformation” of medicine and healing.
