Dr. Franco specializes in trauma and abuse issues, PTSD, multicultural issues, and forensics.

Dr. Franco is li­censed to practice psy­chol­ogy in the state of New York, the state of Maryland, the state of Virginia, and the District of Columbia. She received her doctorate degree in clinical psychology from the George Washington University. Dr. Franco completed her internship at the University of Rochester School of Medicine, Department of Psychiatry. During her studies, she worked in a variety of inpatient and outpatient settings including clinics, medical hospitals, psychiatric hospitals, and forensic settings.

In addition to working with adults, adolescents, children, couples and families with various clinical presentations, Dr. Franco specializes in trauma and abuse issues, PTSD, multicultural issues, and forensics. She has extensive experience in individual, couples, and family psychotherapy as well as in diagnostic evaluations of adults and children with various diagnoses.

Dr. Franco is a clinical professor of psychology at the George Washington University. In her private practice, she provides supervision to advanced doctoral students. She has authored several journal articles and has been a panelist and presenter at various national and international conferences.

Dr. Franco is an expert contributor at GoodTherapy. She is also is credentialed by the National Register of Health Service Psychologists and certified as a Clinical Trauma Professional.

Dr. Franco is a member of the American Psychological Association, the Maryland Psychological Association, the International Association for Cross Cultural Psychology, the Anxiety and Depression Association of America, the National Association of French Speaking Health Professionals, the Social Integration and Community Development Association, the National Alliance on Mental Illness, the Psychology and Law Society, the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts, the Maryland chapter of the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts, the International Society For Traumatic Stress Studies, the National Latino Psychological Association, the District of Columbia Psychological Association, The New York State Psychological Association, The National Association of Professional Women, a member of the Program Council for the Art,  Heart Center in Alexandria, VA and a member of the International Association of Trauma Professionals.
