People who see me for the first time are surprised at how respectfully they are treated; how supportive I am. . . I can see their goodness
Sandy Demopoulos is an Adjunct Professor at Fordham University Graduate School of Social Science, preparing students to utilize academic knowledge in clinical settings. She has 30 years of experience in treating mental health, chemical dependency and dually diagnosed patients at various levels of care with a current private practice in White Plains and Mt. Kisco which specializes in addiction treatment.
Sandy is unique in seeing patients who are actively having issues with alcohol or drugs. She has had a great deal of success. When patients stabilize relapse prevention is the focal point of the work. She is Certified DWI assessments and treatment provider.
People who see me for the first time are surprised at how respectfully they are treated; how supportive I am. Unfortunately, they have been shamed about their continued or intermittent use despite multiple attempts to get sober and stay sober by friends, family and even by some professionals. Once, a student asked me how have I kept myself fresh and open all these years. I told her “I can see their goodness.”
